Starting in December, utility bills payments will be due on the 10th of the month.
Why is this changing?
Currently, utility payments are due by the 20th of each month. Meters are read on the 25th, and new bill amounts are issued based on those readings. Due to a large amount of holidays falling near the 25th, the decision was made by staff and council to move the due date to the 10th and meter reads to the 15th of each month.
Here is how this will breakdown over the next few billing cycles.
October 27th – meters read and bill to be mailed with due date of November 20th. (full 30 days of water use)
November 25th – meters read and bill to be mailed with due date of December 10th. (full 30 days of water use) – No Late Fees Will Be Assessed
December 15th – meters read and bill to be mailed with due date January 10th. (20 days of water use) – There will be a bill credit or a prorated adjustment made for this period.
